What We Believe.
We believe that the Bible, God’s Holy Word, is our sole Authority in matters of Faith and Practice. Though experience is a vital part of life, we believe that the authority of experience shall never stand in conflict with the Authority of God’s written Word – the Bible.
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings.
We believe in One God eternally existing in Three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; Three in One coequal, which is the Trinity.
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and is True God and True Man.
We believe that man was created in the image of God. That man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death (separation of the body from the soul), but also spiritual death (separation of man from God), and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word, and deed.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, thus providing life for all those who believe in Him.
We believe in the Resurrection of the crucified Lord. His ascension into Heaven and His present life in Heaven as our Great High Priest and Advocate.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost and the blessed eternal state of those that are saved. Thus we believe in a literal and real Heaven and Hell.
We believe that each member of the Church, the Body of Christ, has been gifted by the Holy Spirit to work the work of the ministry, thus unifying the Body. We believe that some of the gifts given initially to the church were “sign” gifts and thus when the need for the “sign” ceased, so did the “sign” gifts.
